Our company originated in Milan from a small family-run workshop specialising in the production of men's caps and known as Melampo.

Our History
1949
1973
At the beginning of the 1970s, the craftsman's workshop of its origins became an important industrial reality, transforming itself into a capital company and acquiring the current name CO.MI. s.r.l..
1988
The factory in Quinto de' Stampi on the outskirts of Milan was inaugurated in a new building that is still the company's headquarters today.
1998
The company began its internationalisation process with the opening of the Botosani branch in Romania, which is still COMI's main production unit today.
2000
COMI obtains its first ISO 9000 system certification. For over 20 years, the company has been committed to maintaining and improving its Quality System certified to ISO 9001 standards
2001
The APS line for Municipal and Local Police operators is launched on the market. It consists of the first series of waterproof and breathable uniform caps with heat-taped inner seams.
2008
The company innovates its design office by equipping itself with a CAD system for the design and development of new models.
2018
The Quinto de' Stampi site opens a small in-house unit dedicated to customising garments with embroidery, prints and transfer applications.
2020
The new line of HDS caps made from new-generation environmentally sustainable polyester membranes, characterised by high protection and breathability performance, is presented.
